Adam Nguyen, 26, of Hilliard, Franklin County, Ohio, United States is a patrol officer with the Columbus Division of Police in Columbus, Ohio. He joined the division in 2021.
In May 2022, Nguyen was featured in a promotional video as an Asian-American police officer It was part of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
On May 21, 2023, Nguyen was at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, USA where he allegedly recorded an upskirt video of a girl without her consent. She is under the age of 18.
Later that day, Nguyen was arrested. He was charged with unauthorized video recording and live video transmission.
On May 22, 2023, Nguyen was released on a recognizance bond. On May 23, 2023, the Columbus Division of Police placed Nguyen on paid administrative leave.
Bond for Nguyen was set at $20,000. Due to the criminal investigation, he was later relieved of duty.
Named for Christopher Columbus, who died on May 20, 1506 at age 54, Columbus was settled on February 14, 1812 and incorporated on February 10, 1816. It is the largest city in the world named for the Italian explorer.
