Heather Lois Mack is an American woman who grew up a $1.5 million mansion in Oak Park, Illinois, United States. She is James L. Mack and Sheila von Weise Mack‘s daughter.

On August 20, 2014, a urine test confirmed that she was pregnant. On September 19, 2014, Schaeffer admitted to killing her mother and she admitted to helping him stuff the body into the suitcase.
  9. On January 14, 2015, she and Schaeffer were charged with premeditated murder in Indonesia. In April 2015, she was sentenced to 10 years in prison and he was sentenced to 18 years in prison. She was incarcerated in Kerobokan Penitentiary Institution in Kerobokan, Badung Regency, Bali where she gave birth to her daughter.
  10. She received 34 months remission from her prison sentence, 6 months of which were awarded by Joko Widodo in August 2021. On October 29, 2021, she was released from Kerobokan Penitentiary Institution. As soon as she and her daughter arrived at the O’Hare International Airport in Chicago on November 3, 2021, she was arrested and her daughter was placed with a relative.
  11. On June 16, 2023, she pleaded guilty to conspiring to kill a U.S. national to gain access to a $1.5 million trust fund.

  13. On January 17, 2024, she was sentenced to 26 years in prison.
