Samantha Ashley Lo, a 26-year-old from Cebu, Philippines, was chosen as Miss Grand International 2019. She faced travel issues due to her organizer's lack of providing a transit visa, resulting in her detainment at Paris airport for 13 hours. Despite missing the swimsuit competition, she was able to return safely.
