BRAVE Combat Federation had an unforgettable 2019. The Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion once again traveled around the globe with 12 events in 12 different countries.
Several world-class fighters tested their skills against top international talent and some of those fights ended in amazing finishes. Several top-flight contests were ended in submission.
To celebrate the year, BRAVE CF has compiled the top submissions of 2019. The video starts with reigning BRAVE CF Lightweight World Champion Cleiton “Predator” Silva, 33, of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil surprising then champion Luan “Miau” Santiago, 24, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil and locking in a quick rear-naked choke in their title fight back at “BRAVE CF 25,” which took place in Belo Horizonte.
The video also highlights the two biggest submissions of “BRAVE CF 26” as well as Khamzat “Borz” Chimaev, 25, of Sweden putting Mzwandile “Shakebone” Hlongwa, 29, of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa to sleep in one of the most impressive arm-triangle chokes of the year. At “BRAVE CF 28,” John “Trouble” Brewin, 24, of Auckland, New Zealand earned the biggest victory of his career by making Maciej “MagicMan” Gierzewski, 32, of Lebork, Poland tap to his armbar in the main event of BRAVE CF’s debut in Romania.
Elsewhere, there were huge submission victories for Sam Patterson, 23, of England, Phil “Zilla” Hawes, 30, of Little Ferry, New Jersey, United States and Daniel “Willycat” Santos, 24, of Uberlandia, Minas Gerais. Check the video for BRAVE CF’s top submissions in 2019 here:
