Roshan Mainam, 24, is one of the two Indian mixed martial artists competing at “ONE: Reign of Dynasties” in Singapore. It will be his second outing in the Singapore-based martial arts organization ONE Championship.
Fighting out of Thoubal, Manipur, India, Mainam is currently based in Singapore. Training out of Evolve MMA, he made his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Masters of Fate” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on November 8, 2019.
At “ONE: Masters of Fate,” Mainam fought Khon Sichan, 32, of Cambodia in an MMA match in the flyweight division. The Manipur native submitted his Cambodian opponent via armlock in the first round.
Mainam’s opponent at “ONE: Reign of Dynasties” is Liu Peng Shuai (刘彭帅), 24, of Beijing, China. They will battle it out in the flyweight division.
ONE Championship will hold “ONE: Reign of Dynasties” at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore on October 9, 2020. The flyweight contest between Mainam and Liu will be the first among the six bouts on the card.
“ONE: Reign of Dynasties” will be the first international sports production pilot to take place in Singapore since the country’s implementation of measures related to the new coronavirus (COVID-19). All bouts will take place audience-free and behind closed doors with only athletes, officials and crew onsite.

Eight countries will be represented at “ONE: Reign of Dynasties” namely Australia, China, Finland, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapre and Thailand. Mainam and Rahul “The Kerala Krusher” Raju, 28, will represent India while Liu and “Wolf of the Grasslands” Hexigetu, 31, will be China’s representatives.
Mainam is the first ever Indian MMA fighter to join the Evolve Fight Team. He currently holds a professional MMA record of 4 wins and 2 losses while Liu has 6 wins and 4 losses.
A sanda specialist, Liu became the ONE Hefei Flyweight Tournament Champion when he made his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Dynasty of Champions” in Hefei, China on July 1, 2016. He defeated two opponents in one night namely Guanjun Li and Nanyan Zhang.
