For his participation in the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, he was charged with theft of government property, obstruction of an official proceeding, entering or remaining in a restricted building, disorderly conduct in a restricted building, entering or remaining in the gallery of the Congress and entering or remaining in certain rooms of the U.S. Capitol building. On May 4, 2021, the Federal Bureau of Investigation received an electronic tip that identified him and his mother in connection with their involvement in the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. (a)(b)
On June 29, 2021, he allegedly possessed an Iver Johnson’s Arms & Cycle Works 12-gauge sawed-off shotgun not registered to him in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record in Lewis County, New York. On the same day, a search warrant was executed at the home in Watertown where he and his mother live. They allegedly told investigators that they helped a man who stole a laptop belonging to Nancy Pelosi‘s staff without leaving fingerprints in the U.S. Capitol building on January 6, 2021. (a)(b)
He was charged with possessing an unregistered shotgun in Lewis County on June 29, 2021. (a)(b)
On October 1, 2021, FBI agents arrested him and his mother. (a)
After appearing before U.S. Magistrate Judge Therese Wiley-Dancks in federal court in Syracuse, New York on October 1, 2021, he and his mother were released pending further proceedings. (a)(b)
