Brian Edward Kitzman is an American triathlete from Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin, United States. Aside from running, cycling and swimming, he also enjoys golfing and skiing.

Kitzman was a varsity letter winner in cross country, swimming and track and field at Joseph A. Craig High School in Janesville. He later worked as an assistant coach for the school’s cross country and track and field program.

After graduating from Joseph A. Craig High School, Kitzman went to Carroll University in Waukesha, Waukesha County, Wisconsin where he competed in cross country and swimming. In his spare time, he loves outdoor activities, attending sporting events and exercising.

An avid runner, Kitzman mainly competes in sprint and Olympic triathlons. Here are 13 more things about him:

  1. In 2004, he was hired by the School District of Janesville. From 2004 to 2017, he coached Joseph A. Craig High School’s boys swim team. He was also the head coach of the school’s girls swim team for nine seasons. 
  2. From 2013 to 2017, he coached club swimming with the South Central Swim Team.
  3. In July 2015, he travelled to Edinburgh, Scotland.
  4. In July 2016, he visited Omaha, Nebraska, USA.

  8. In February 2020, he visited the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in Whitewater, Wisconsin. He was there again in April 2022 and March 2023.
  9. In February 2021, he founded Phoenix Club, Inc. with a goal to create more interest and participation amongst youth athletes in the sports of track and field, cross country and triathlon.
  10. He visited Burlington High School-Wisconsin in Burlington, Wisconsin in May 2022 and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in La Crosse, Wisconsin in June 2022.
  11. On March 5, 2023, he began his 10th season coaching track and field at Joseph A. Craig High School.
  12. He allegedly installed a recording device inside a girl’s locker room at Joseph A. Craig High School. On May 5, 2023, a school resource officer was told about the recording device. Later that day, the Janesville Police Department arrested him on tentative charges of child pornography possession, violation of privacy of a person under the age of 18 and representations depicting nudity of a person under the age of 18.
  13. He was 38 years old when he was arrested on May 5, 2033. He was booked into the Rock County Jail in Janesville pending his initial court appearance.
