The Miss Universe 2023 coronation night will be held in El Salvador before 2024. It is the 72nd edition of the international beauty pageant headquartered in New York, United States and Samut Prakan, Thailand.
This is also the first edition of Miss Universe accepting candidates who are married and have children as long as they are 18-28 years old during the competition. On October 26, 2022, JKN Global Group acquired the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) from Endeavor Group Holdings-owned IMG Worldwide at $14 million, making Anne Jakrajutatip the first transgender woman to own the organization.
R’Bonney Gabriel, 28, of the United States was crowned Miss Universe 2022 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA on January 14, 2023. Runner-up to Gabriel was Amanda Dudamel, 23, of Venezuela while Andreina Martínez, 25, of the Dominican Republic was second runner-up.
