The Miss Universe 2023 coronation ceremony will be held at the Gimnasio Nacional José Adolfo Pineda in San Salvador, El Salvador on November 18, 2023. It is the 72nd edition of the international beauty pageant headquartered in New York, United States and Samut Prakan, Thailand.
Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, Jeannie Mai and Maria Menounos will host the coronation ceremony with Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Zuri Hall as backstage correspondents. John Legend will perform during the show.
This is the first edition of Miss Universe accepting mothers and married women as candidates as long as they are 18-28 years old during the competition. On October 26, 2022, JKN Global Group acquired the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) from Endeavor Group Holdings-owned IMG Worldwide at $14 million, making Anne Jakrajutatip the first transgender woman to own the organization.
R’Bonney Gabriel, 28, of the United States was crowned Miss Universe 2022 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA on January 14, 2023. Runner-up to Gabriel was Amanda Dudamel, 23, of Venezuela while Andreina Martínez, 25, of the Dominican Republic was second runner-up.
