Hillevi Rombin was the first Swedish Miss Universe, crowned in 1955. Born on October 26, 1933, she was a national decathlon champion and later worked in design and charity. Hillevi married Gerard Schine and had six children. She tragically died in a plane crash on June 19, 1996, in California.
