Santa Catarina, Brazil’s Marcel Adur earns 4th Brave CF win at ‘Brave 25’

Marcel Adur, 27, of Balneario Camboriu, Santa Catarina, Brazil was one of the winners at the Brave Combat Federation combat sports event “Brave 25.” It was his fourth victory in the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion.

Brave CF held “Brave 25,” which featured 10 MMA bouts, at the Arena Minas Tênis Clube in Belo Horizonte on August 30, 2019. In the fifth bout of the evening, Adur competed in the flyweight division against Marlon “Kid” Derik, 27, of Belo Horizonte.

Adur almost finished the bout via knockout in the second round. But Derik managed to survive and the bout continued in the third round.

After three five-minute rounds, the flyweight contest was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, the referee raised the hand of Adur, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

Winning at “Brave 25” improved the professional MMA record of Adur to 15 wins and 5 losses. On the other hand, Derik now has 5 wins and 3 losses.

“Brave 25” marked Derik’s Brave CF debut. It was Adur’s fifth bout in the promotion.

Adur was born in Brazil on December 17, 1991 and has been competing professionally since 2010. Before joining Brave CF, he competed in Beach Fight, Nitrix Champion Fight, Floripa Fight, Sao Jose Super Fight, Pretorian Fight, Fight Time, Noxii Combat, Xtreme Fighting Champions, Aspera Fighting Championship and World Series of Fighting Global Championship.

In 2017, Adur joined Brave CF. The firs three opponents in the promotion were Ivan “Niño Demoledor” Lopez of Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, Rodrigo “Bad Boy” Melonio, 24, of Almerim, Para, Brazil and Fernando “Ben 10” Lourenço of Belo Horizonte.

The “Brave 25” weigh-ins took place in Belo Horizonte on August 29, 2019. Adur and Derik weighed 57.2kg and 56.9kg, respectively.

In the main event of the evening, Cleiton “Predator” Silva, 33, of Belo Horizonte challenged reigning Brave CF Lightweight World Champion Luan “Miau” Santiago, 24, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil. The challenger dethroned the defending champion via submission in the first round.

The co-main event was a bantamweight bout between Felipe Efrain, 25, of Sao Paulo and Matheus Nicolau, 26, of Belo Horizonte. The latter emerged as the victor.
