BRAVE Combat Federation is looking to crown its first-ever flyweight world champion with a tournament featuring eight of the best fighters in the world under 125lbs (57kg). With a mix of well-established names and up-and-coming future stars, the tournament will feature in the next few events as they look for the biggest prize in the weight-class.
After announcing the four quarter-final bouts, BRAVE CF has now released the full brackets for the tournament. That means fans and media can now begin to discuss and speculate on future matchups as the eight men know their path to glory.
Starting with the first matchup between two-time amateur world champion Jose “Shorty” Torres, 27, and Sean “Shorty Rock” Santella, 35, who are both fighting out of the United States. The winner of that bout takes on the winner of the match between Marcel Adur, 28, of Brazil and Dustin Ortiz, 31, of the U.S.
On the other side of the bracket, combat sambo world champion Velimurad Alkhasov, 28, of Russia meets Flávio “Flavinho” de Queiroz, 28, of Brazil. The winner is set to face off against either former Bellator MMA champion Zach “Fun Size” Makovsky, 36, of the U.S. or International Mixed Martial Arts Federation world champion Abdul “Abba” Hussein, 22, of Finland, who will face each other in the last matchup of the tournament.
