In partnership with Swedish MMA promotion Bulldog Fight Night, BRAVE CF will hold “BRAVE CF 37” in Stockholm, Sweden on August 1, 2020. The main event is a welterweight bout between Louis “Spartacus” Glismann, 29, of Copenhagen, Denmark and Henri Lintula, 29, of Kerava, Uusimaa, Finland.
Mokaev’s “BRAVE CF 37” opponent is still being finalized. So far, more than five athletes have said yes to facing the undefeated MMA fighter before pulling out due to various reasons.
Originally from Dagestan, Russia, Mokaev is fighting out of London, England, United Kingdom. He holds an amateur MMA record of 23 wins and 0 loss.
The Dagestani-English MMA fighter remains upbeat and made it a point to travel early to Sweden to avoid any issues. He even spent 10 hours on a bus to make the journey to Stockholm for “BRAVE CF 37.”
Before signing with BRAVE CF, Mokaev became a two-time IMMAF World Champion. He shared, “The European championships and especially the World Championships in Bahrain are by far the most important moments I had so far but definitely not the last ones.”
“I do what I do for my family,” Mokaev continued. “I don’t want for them to go through the same kind of struggles that I had in my time. Also, I want to set up a charity foundation under my family name so my legacy will still be around when I’m gone but before all that I have to earn my spot among the best and to do so, I will become the flyweight world champion at BRAVE CF.”
BRAVE Combat Federation is looking to crown its first-ever flyweight world champion with a tournament. The contenders are Jose “Shorty” Torres, 27, Dustin Ortiz, 31, Zach “Fun Size” Makovsky, 36, and Sean “Shorty Rock” Santella, 35, of the United States, Flávio “Flavinho” de Queiroz, 28, and Marcel Adur, 28, of Brazil, Velimurad Alkhasov, 28, of Russia and Abdul “Abba” Hussein, 22, of Finland.
