England’s Shoaib Yousaf vs South Korea’s Kim Tae Kyun at ‘BRAVE CF 36’ in Romania

Shoaib “The Assassin” Yousaf, 24, of  Lancashire, England and Kim Tae Kyun (김태균) of Ilsan, South Korea are the latest additions to the next event of BRAVE Combat Federation. The Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion is set to return to Romania.

Promoted in partnership with local MMA powerhouse Romanian Xtreme Fighting (RFX), “BRAVE CF 36” will take place at the BT Arena in Cluj Napoca, Romania on April 13, 2020 making it the second BRAVE CF event to take place in the Eastern European country. The bout between Yousaf and Kim will be in the featherweight division.

Competing professionally since 2016, Yousaf is currently on a five-bout winning streak. On December 27, 2019, he made his successful BRAVE CF debut by submitting Hassan Talal of Jordan at “BRAVE CF 35” at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium Sports Hall in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

“BRAVE CF 36” marks Yousaf’s second bout in BRAVE CF. Before joining the promotion, he competed in Absolute Championship Berkut, Celtic Gladiator, UK Fighting Championships and Caged Steel.

Currently, Yousaf holds a professional MMA record of 7 wins and 1 loss. On the other hand, Kim is an undefeated MMA fighter with 6 wins and 0 loss.

Kim had a meteoric rise since he made his professional MMA debut in late 2017. On November 15, 2019, he made his successful BRAVE CF debut by defeating Erick “Indio Brabo” da Silva, 31, of Brazil via unanimous decision at “BRAVE CF 29” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain.

Previously, Kim competed in Top Fighting Championship, Double G and KMPC 1. “BRAVE CF 36” also marks his second appearance in BRAVE CF.

In the main event of “BRAVE CF 36,” Sam Patterson, 23, of Walford, England will face John “Trouble” Brewin, 25, of New Zealand. They will battle it out in the lightweight division.
