BRAVE Combat Federation‘s 40th show will once again feature standouts from the amateur circuit who have been making waves as professional fighters. In the main event of “BRAVE CF 40,” International Mixed Martial Arts Federation world champion Shoaib “The Assassin” Yousaf, 24, of England will look to get one step closer to a featherweight title shot when he takes on Mochamed “The Best” Machaev, 20, of Austria.
In the co-main event, IMMAF European champion Anton Turkalj, 24, of Sweden will go for win number two under the BRAVE CF banner when he takes on fellow undefeated fighter Ibo “The Last Ottoman” Aslan, 24, of Austria. They will compete at a catch weight of 98 kg.
Both Yousaf and Turkalj have gone through the IMMAF’s amateur system and got much needed experience before turning professional. Their time under the IMMAF has been key in their development and success.
Yousaf currently boasts a professional MMA record of 7 wins and 1 loss. Turkalj is undefeated in five fights, winning all of them by stoppage.
“I’d like to congratulate former IMMAF World Champion Shoaib Yousaf and IMMAF European Champion Anton Turkalj as they progress in their pro careers to headline at ‘BRAVE 40’ in the main and co-main events,” IMMAF president Kerrith Brown said. “Audiences can expect to see these top prospects showcase some exciting talent and skills well-honed in the amateur divisions.”
BRAVE CF’s four Sweden shows have counted with a host of big names in the IMMAF circuit. Among them were two-time junior world champion Muhammad “The Punisher” Mokaev, 20, of England and Russia, flyweight world champion Bianca Antman, 30, of Sweden, Irman “The People’s Champ” Smajić, 37, of Sweden and Issa Isakov, 30, of Belgium.
