Mochamed “The Best” Machaev, 20, of Vienna, Austria remains undefeated after his return to BRAVE Combat Federation. His second outing in the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion was one of the five bouts at “BRAVE CF 36.”
In partnership with Real Xtreme Fighting (RXF), BRAVE CF held “BRAVE CF 36” at Berăria H in Bucharest, Romania on July 27, 2020. In the second bout of the evening, Machaev fought Ciprian “The Transylvanian Warrior” Maris, 29, of Cluj-Napoca, Romania in the featherweight division.
The referee put a stop to the featherweight contest after two five-minute rounds. In the end, he raised the hand of Machaev, who was declared the winner via technical knockout due to doctor stoppage.
It was the fifth time Machaev won a professional MMA bout via technical knockout. Winning at “BRAVE CF 36” improved his professional MMA record to 9 wins and 0 loss.
On the other hand, Maris now has 14 wins and 7 losses. The Romanian MMA fighter made his BRAVE CF debut at “BRAVE CF 36.”
Including Austria and Romania, 12 countries were represented at “BRAVE CF 36.” The others were Canada, France, Ireland, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Northern Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland and Trinidad and Tobago.
Machaev solely represented Austria. Maris was one of the three representatives of the host country.
In the main event of the evening, kickboxer Cristi Constantinov, 23, of Bucharest made his professional MMA debut and BRAVE CF debut. He was submitted by Todd “The Black Hulk” Stoute, 36, of Trinidad and Tobago and Canada at a catch weight of 104kg.
In the co-main event, Kevin Ruart, 32, of France and Switzerland broke the undefeated record of Ion Surdu, 25, of Moldova and Romania when they competed in the welterweight division. The French-Swiss contender knocked out his Moldovan-Romanian opponent.

Born on December 5, 1999, Machaev has been competing professionally since 2017. Before joining BRAVE CF, he competed in Austrian Fight Challenge and X Fight Nights.
On January 19, 2020, Machaev made his BRAVE CF debut at “BRAVE CF 34,” which was held at Hala Tivoli in Ljubljana, Slovenia alongside “WFC 24: Caged” of World Freefight Challenge (WFC). The Vienna native won via unanimous decision against Matjaž Vičar of Slovenia in the light division.
