Karla Inelisse Guilfú Acevedo, 24, of Isla Culebra, Puerto Rico almost won Miss Supranational 2021. She was the first runner-up of the 12th edition of the Poland-based international beauty pageant.

Guilfu is a model and a certified yoga instructor. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in counselling psychology.

After winning Miss Teen Mundial Puerto Rico 2018, Guilfu represented Puerto Rico at Miss Teen Mundial 2018 in El Salvador and finished in the Top 12. In December 2020, the Isla Culebra resident was officially appointed as Miss Supranational Puerto Rico 2020.

It was Chanique Chani Rabe, 24, of Windhoek, Namibia who won the title. Thato Thelma Mosehle, 25, of Klerksdorp, South Africa is second runner-up while Valentina Belen Sanchez Trivella, 25, of Porlamar, Venezuela is third runner-up and Eoanna Elaynna Constanza, 26, of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic is fourth runner-up.

Reigning Miss Supranational 2019 Anntonia Porsild, 26, of Thailand crowned Rabe as her successor at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland on August 21, 2021. It aired live on CNN Philippines in the Philippines, on Metro TV in Indonesia, on Zoom TV in India, on Silverbird in Nigeria, on Net 2 in Ghana, on Globovision in Venezuela, on Polsat in Poland and on ATV in Suriname.

Including Rabe, Guilfu, Mosehle, Sanchez and Constanza, 58 candidates competed for the crown. Miss Supranational 2019 third runner-up and Miss Universe 2020 second runner-up Janick Maceta del Castillo, 27, of Lima, Peru attended the coronation ceremony.
