The Miss Universe 2020 coronation ceremony will take place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Broward County, Florida, United States at 8:00 p.m. ET on May 16, 2021. It is the 69th edition of the international beauty pageant.

Mario Lopez and Olivia Culpo will host the ceremony along with Paulina Vega, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and Chelsie Kryst. Luis Fonsi will perform during the show.

On December 8, 2019, Zozibini Tunzi was crowned Miss Universe 2019 at the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Madison Anderson of Puerto Rico and Sofia Aragon of Mexico were the respective first and second runners-up.

Miss Universe Egypt 2020 Aya Abdelrazik, 24, and Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 Tangia Zaman Methila, 28, were originally announced as candidates. However, they both withdrew due to new coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown and travel restrictions.

The national costume show was held on May 13, 2021. The 74 candidates competed in the swimsuit and evening gown rounds in the preliminary competition on May 14, 2021.
