Beauty is power. Like a knife, both beauty and power are helpful if used properly but dangerous if abused.

Physical beauty is about symmetry. Color has little, if not nothing, to do with it.

But more than symmetry, beauty is magic. Symmetrical pair of eyes, lips and nose may still not be pleasing to the eye if put together. Asymmetrical pair of ears, chin and neck may create a piece of art if put together. That is magic.

Usually, the magic behind beauty shines when a person smiles. The truth is that a person cannot be ugly while smiling.

However, it is hypocritical to say that every person is physically beautiful. What we need to teach our children is that being more physically beautiful does not give a person more human rights because in the eyes of the law, every citizen is equal.
